Display Director Control Software

Display Director is a sophisticated content management platform featuring a completely intuitive, simple user interface, designed with the first -time user in mind, while still providing for robust display needs.

Display Director was designed to provide a powerful means of provisioning displays in an intense game time environment that is completely un-intimidating to the beginning user. Content can be organized prior to the game under easy- to- find tabs. Content files are organized on the screen as "hot buttons", with each "button" featuring a still frame of the clip to be played, allowing a user to quickly find the file they are looking for. Display Director displays the clip at the click of a mouse button, with no latency.

Content can be chosen manually, or set as a looping sequence, with definable hold times. A sequence loop can be interrupted by a manual clip insertion, such as when an ad may be interrupted to display a fan prompt, such as "Make some noise!", and then revert back to the interrupted ad.

Display Director was designed to provide a powerful display management tool in a format simple enough for any beginning user. Using the familiar Windows format, simplistic graphics, and a common sense approach to formatting, Display Director allows a first time display operator the ability to master game time control with relatively little training and practice.
  • Easy & Intuitive user interface
  • Supports Video(.WMV, .MPG, .AVI) & Images (.JPG, .BMP, .PNG (With Transparency))
  • Controls any size display
  • Controls up to 50 separate displays with a single user interface
  • Simple clip Server format
  • Media is stored locally to each display for faster response times, no latency
  • Automatically scales source videos and images to fit display
  • Statistical information for tables and ribbon boards (StatCrew, External RS232 Feed)
  • Live video source switching via software to TV-One video scalar
  • Controls ribbon style displays; featuring real-time pixel remapping to accommodate long displays maintaining 60fps
  • Sequences supporting up to 128 media entries

SignCo’s Display Director will interface with the existing All-Sport scoreboard controllers to obtain Real Time scoring and timing data. Display Director will also interface with standard statistical subscription services such as StatCrew. The proposed Display can have the content segmented into zones. As opposed to proposing separate displays for the Stat panels, SignCo is proposing that this be accomplished within the content provisioning. The board can be zoned to display “stat panels” on either end, with live video, advertisements, or other content playing in the middle.

Each display will be set within Display Director according to its pixel matrix, and all content sized appropriately for each display. The administrator will be able to see a graphical rendering of the display content as it is playing at the top of each screen. Most content choices can be made prior to the game, and provisioned on each display accordingly, which will minimize the provisioning needed during the actual game. Once all the desired templates for each screen are chosen and provisioned, it can be relatively easy for one operator to manage all the displays in the facility for a given game. The administrator can use the “hot buttons” to quickly deploy player profiles and fan prompts within pre-selected zones, which will then revert back to the previously scheduled content after the “hot button” deployed content has been played.

SignCo Display Director’s zoning capabilities are robust. Administrators can choose from a variety of templates for inserting various “zones” of content. Each zone’s content can be set individually to run independent of the other zones. Any given zone can be set to feature pre-defined content loops, video feeds, stats, scores, Division standings, or instant “hot button” fan prompts. Such “hot button” prompts (such as “STRIKE OUT!!”) can be set to interrupt the previously scheduled content in any one of the zones.

Display Director is also capable of acting as an audio file server, and allowing for the playback of audio files along with content. Particular audio files can be tied to specific content clips, so that anytime that content file is deployed, the associated audio file plays along with it.

DsignXpress Software

Easy and intuitive to use, the new DsignXpress Software allows for powerful programming and import of graphics, animation and video. Text display modes, time/temp, and image and video libraries are easily accessible through the message editor. "Fast Message" and "Quick File" allows for immediate display changes, and messages can be pre-scheduled according to the date and time. The Program Time Line allows a user to schedule multiple layers in a complex motion simultaneously, precisely and easily controlling the entranceand exit of each layer.
