Exchange Program

Terms

The component exchange program is designed to help dealers expedite repairs by providing components "on loan" when needed. At the request of a dealer, the SignCoEDS service department will supply a new or refurbished component to a desired location. Once received, the SignCoEDS dealer installs the replacement component and returns the faulty component, freight prepaid, to the SignCoEDS Service Department. An invoice for the exchange fee plus any applicable repair cost is generated once repairs are complete. SignCoEDS offers exchange components for warranty and non-warranty repair to qualified dealers whose accounts are in good standing.

Exchange Duration

Defective components returned to satisfy the exchange must be received by the SignCoEDS service department within thirty (30) calendar days from the Origination Date (i.e. initial ship date). Delinquent returns will automatically be invoiced for full component cost. All invoiced components are subject to a 25% RESTOCKING FEE + the exchange fees upon return. Returns will not be accepted beyond 90 days from the Origination Date.

New Electronic Display (First Year)

Exchange components are provided at no charge for a one (1) year period commencing on the date the display was shipped from SignCoEDS. SignCoEDS does not cover the cost of removing and shipping components back to SignCoEDS for repair.

Warranty Repairs (After First Year)

An exchange fee per component plus shipping charges will be assessed on all exchanged components. Components received "freight prepaid" will be repaired under the terms of the SignCoEDS 60 Month Limited Warranty. SignCoEDS does not cover the cost of removing and shipping components back to SignCoEDS for repair.

Non-warranty Repairs

An exchange fee per component plus shipping charges will be assessed on all exchanged components. Normal repair charges incurred will be billed in addition to the exchange fee.

Return Shipping

SignCoEDS is not responsible for shipping costs, damage or losses on returned items. Units to be returned should be packed up carefully. Since SignCoEDS cannot provide credit for a return without confirming its receipt, we recommend that you use a delivery service that can be tracked and or insured. You are responsible for insuring the returned items to SignCoEDS for the full cost of replacement. Please be advised that packages sent by normal US Postal Service cannot be tracked to ensure delivery.
