SignCoEDS is a division of IMSCORP, which was founded in 1974 as Industrial Machine Specialties by former high school friends Elmer Wessel and Nick Cusick. Throughout 30 years of continual ownership, the company has grown and spawned successful sister companies due to the creativity of its staff and the entrepreneurial spirit of its owners.
In 1993, the University of Nebraska contacted SourceOne to repair defective rotational signs they had purchased only one year earlier. After careful consideration, SourceOne agreed to fix and maintain these signs for the following season. Immediately it became clear that the design and quality of these signs were not up to the high standards that SourceOne had been accustomed to. After struggling with the University's maintenance of these signs for the entire season, SourceOne agreed to design and manufacture a new rotating signage system for the following season, and thus SignCo was born. The University of Nebraska was delighted with the results. SignCo developed and produced the premeir rotating sign in the industry, using advanced manufacturing practices, quality materials, state-of-the-art technology, careful engineering, and thorough testing.
SignCo was created in 1994 to provide dependable and highly versatile on-site advertising solutions primarily to the sports marketing industry. Rotating and LED scoring tables, stadium ribbon message boards and digital, full-color printing are just a few of the products that made SignCo the leader in both innovation and quality in the sports marketing industry.
Confident that our rotating signs were superior, we began to market our product nationally. To date, we have well over 2,000 signs in use throughout the country in over 500 locations. In fact nearly every sign that has ever been manufactured by SignCo is still in use and generating revenue for their program.
While continuing to be THE standard in the rotating/scrolling sign market, SignCo researched, developed, and brought to market the first DLP signage for sports venues and scoring tables in the industry. These DLP products are the best, most facility friendly and durable DLP signage available. SignCo also branched out into providing large LED displays as giant video screens for sports stadiums and venues. SignCo designed and installed some of the most well-known implementations in the country. In fact, a person can hardly watch televised collegiate sports without seeing a SignCo DLP or scrolling scoring table, fascia message center or large video display hard at work, earning revenue for the venue.
Electronic Display Systems (EDS) has been an industry leader in quality LED message centers, time and temperature units and price signs for the commercial and retail markets for more than 25 years. In fact, E.D.S. has been ISA's (International Sign Association) longest consecutive electronics manufacturer member. By combining forces with SignCo in 2007, the new entity, SignCoEDS, is positioned to provide commercial sign dealers the most durable, quality engineered product on the market, with decades of combined experience ensuring continuity of the new entity.
SignCoEDS is a division of IMSCORP, which also consists of SourceOne and Bison. SourceOne's work includes industrial manufacturing, tooling, prototyping, industrial design, automation, and powder coating. Bison manufacures indoor and outdoor basketball goals, volleyball systems, football goals and soccer goals. At SignCoEDS we specialize in design, engineering, and manufacturing of signage for sports marketing and commercial implementations. Products include scrolling signage signs, LED and DLP tables, specialty printing and digital billboards.
